A replica Colonial Marine armour piece from James Cameron’s 1986 action sci-fi Aliens. Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) is rescued by a deep salvage team after being in hypersleep for 57 years. The moon that the Nostromo visited has been colonized, but contact is lost. This time, Colonial Marines have impressive firepower, but will that be enough?
Armour was worn by the marines throughout the film and replicated by the film’s armourer Terry English who recreated pieces for personal use. The armour is faux-leather with sewn-in padding and hand beaten aluminium plating, the plating features a hand-painted camouflage design. The armour has three plastic clips and is made to cover the lower torso. There are signs of intentional distress with scratches on the metal and burns of the faux-leather, it remains in an otherwise very good condition.
Materials: Plastic, Man-Made Woven Fibres, Ferrous Metals.
