A prop “Royal” Facehugger used in the production of David Fincher’s Alien sequel Alien 3. Ejected from the burning Sulaco onto the planet Fiorina 161, Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) wakes up in a remote penal colony with a xenomorph queen gestating within her chest. Teaming up with the prisoners, can they end the xenomorph threat once and for all, or will she die before she gets the chance?
This amazing creature, known as the Royal Facehugger or Super Facehugger, was used in the “assembly” cut of the film, seen as Murphy (Christopher Fairback) takes Babe the ox to the slaughterhouse. The design of the piece was based directly on the Alien Queen seen in Aliens, with the creature specifically intended to impregnate a creature with a Queen xenomorph.

The creature is crafted in urethane with a metal armature for rigidity. The piece has been finished in dark greens and browns, with the colour of the creature darkening with age. The piece exhibits some wear from use and age, with several missing finger segments and minor damage to the tail.

Well used but in overall fine condition, the piece is a fascinating item from the history of the Alien franchise and is presented on a custom-made display featuring a support arm and a light-up base with the film’s title artwork. The piece measures 50cm x 45cm x 120cm (19.75“ x 17.75“ x 47.25“) when displayed.

The piece is supplied with a signed letter of authenticity from Amalgamated Dynamics Inc co-founders Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff Jr.
