Ellen Ripley's (Sigourney Weaver) distressed underwater ensemble from Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Alien Resurrection. While this ensemble represents the outfit that Ripley wore throughout the film, this specific version was used for the film's acclaimed water sequence. In which, Ripley 8 - a clone created from samples of Ripley's DNA found on Fiorina "Fury" 161 - attempted to outswim two xenomorphs through the flooded bowels of the USM Auriga.

For the underwater scene, the cast was required to swim in a gargantuan water tank constructed in a converted stage at 20th Century Fox Studios. The sequence required more than two weeks of training in Los Angeles swimming pools and specialized stunt work, camera operation, and costuming suited to submerged conditions to accomplish.

This ensemble was specially distressed by production to appear worn underwater. It consists of a leather sleeveless vest with metal studs hand-marked "S. Weaver Water" and "SM" on the interior; matching pants with padding along the legs and a tag pinned to a belt loop hand-marked "S. Weaver," "Ripley," and "Water Vest; and a sleeveless cotton blend undershirt with its interior tag torn out. The costume exhibits discoloration, staining, and cracking from water exposure and storage after production.
