“Primordial... deep cold... way below the line...”

A production dyeline from Ridley Scott’s 1979 horror sci-fi Alien. After a space merchant vessel receives an unknown transmission as a distress call, one of the crew is attacked by a mysterious life form and they soon realize that its life cycle has merely begun.

Dyeline’s were drawn before and used during the production when building certain set pieces. This dyeline is a printed copy of a production used dyeline showing a front elevation and several details of a door. The features and design of the airlock door seen on screen differ to the diagrams shown on this dyeline. It is marked as Set “Int. Narcissus” and Drawing No. 286. It shows minor edge wear and discolouration but remains in an otherwise excellent condition.

Materials: Paper.
