A Nostromo spacesuit from Ridley Scott's sci-fi horror Alien. Spacesuits were hung up around the spaceship Nostromo, and some can be seen close-up in the escape-shuttle closet when Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) hid from the alien before blasting it out into space.

This spacesuit was originally a 1960s pilot's high-altitude pressure suit, with modifications made by the production's costume department. It is made from a thin white material which has tubes sewn into it, and the suit ties up at the back. The gloves have soft rubber additions, and there is a panel on the midsection with buttons and a dial. The costume is discoloured and features a number of stains.
