A light-up replica of Thomas Kane's (John Hurt) spacesuit from Ridley Scott's sci-fi horror film Alien. Kane, executive officer of the USCSS Nostromo, wore his spacesuit to explore LV-426 in response to a mysterious signal emanating from it.
This high-quality replica spacesuit was designed on reference to the film-used spacesuits. It is constructed with various layers of padded orange, yellow, and pink silk, cotton, polyester, canvas, netting, and rubber tubing with dense and plated moulded rubber shoulder and neck armour, a chestpiece marked "Kane", and an oxygen tank with a detachable rubber hose and LED lights inset. Also included are a detachable matching fibreglass helmet with faux metal details and multicoloured illuminating lights; a tan cotton and leather headpiece with dense rubber earpads; a thin beige cotton headpiece labeled "R.W. Baker"; a fibreglass and canvas tool belt; fibreglass wrist devices with rubber bracelets inset with battery-powered LED lights; and grey rubber-soled space boots. The suit is marked "L" with a "Sher-Wood 5030 tradition" emblem emblazoned on the chest, features a national patch on the left leg, and comes mounted to a steel display base.
This display is in good overall condition with minor tears and other signs of wear throughout, including scuffed fibreglass discoloured blue from age, and cracked rubber on the boots. Dimensions: 203.5 cm x 84 cm x 61 cm (80" x 33" x 24")
