A rare replica of the xenomorph facehugger featured in Ridley Scott’s seminal sci-fi horror film Alien. After receiving an unidentified signal from a nearby planet, the crew of the mining vessel Nostromo are woken from hypersleep. Realising too late that the signal was a warning, the crew defy orders from security officer Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) and accidentally bring an alien life form aboard, starting a chain of events that puts all of their lives at risk.
One of the earliest licensed items related to the film, the Facehugger was part of a limited edition run first offered in 1979. The facehugger is made of vinyl with paint finishing in gloss yellows and reds to give the creature a living, breathing look. The facehugger is numbered “52” and comes presented in the original Perspex presentation case with an engraved plaque detailing the creature’s production number, as well as an original Don Post Studios certificate of authenticity.

A rare collectible from one of horror’s greatest franchises, the Perspex case has suffered some damage, with a minor crack in one of the case’s walls, but besides this minor floor the piece remains in a good overall condition.
