An archive of more than 250 blueprints and brownlines of sets for Ridley Scott's Alien created circa the 1980s. In the seminal horror film, a commercial spaceship answered a distress call from an unexplored planet, unknowingly bringing aboard a creature that threatened all their lives. These prints of blueprints for the many groundbreaking sets were of the first generation of copies made in the 1980s.

Alien won an Academy Oscar Award® for Best Effects, Visual Effects awarded to H.R. Giger, Carlo Rambaldi, Brian Johnson, Nick Allder, and Dennis Ayling. John Hurt was nominated for a BAFTA Film Award® for Best Supporting Actor.

This lot consists of over 250 pages of brownlines and blueprints. Notable browline and blueprint pages are "Int. Nostromo Reflected Ceiling Plan Bridge Area," "Int. Computer Room," "Ext. Derelict," "Int. Engine Room Ceiling Plan," "Helicopter Adaptation #2," "Int. Hypersleep Bed Sets," "Exterior Planet Undercarriage General Arrangement," and "Ext. Planet (Model) Stagelayout." This lot exhibits creases and tears along the edges and curling from storage. Dimensions: (largest) 43.75" x 66" (111.25 cm x 167.75 cm)
