An Alien hand from Ridley Scott’s sci-fi blockbuster, Alien. After receiving an unidentified signal from a nearby planet, the crew of the mining vessel Nostromo are woken from hypersleep. Realising too late that the signal was a warning, the crew defy orders from security officer Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) and accidentally bring an alien life form aboard, starting a chain of events that puts all their lives at risk.

The creature from Alien became H.R. Giger’s most famous creation, designing the alien to have human like features and distinctive armour. The creature hand is made from spandex that has been covered with latex and finished in dark shades of brown and black, adding to the creature’s ominous aesthetic. The hand displays various textures, ridges and pipes most notably along both sides of the long claw-like fingers, creating the distinctive ‘bio-machine’ look.
Over time, the piece has dried and hardened causing the glove to lose its original flexibility. Therefore, this incredible costume piece should be handled with care. Featuring minor wear to the paint work on some of the fingers and small splits to the inner finger tips, the piece remains in very good condition. This item comes with a letter of authenticity that is signed by H.R Giger.
