Ash's (Ian Holm) screen-matched auto doc rotary bone saw from Ridley Scott's Alien. After discovering a chamber filled with eggs aboard an alien vessel, a squid-like hatchling emerged from one and attached to Kane's (John Hurt) face. Ash (Ian Holm) later used the device to cut away Kane's helmet to remove the creature. This saw screen-matches based on the wear at the head of the saw, seen when it is used to remove the helmet.

Alien won an Academy Oscar Award® for Best Effects, Visual Effects awarded to H.R. Giger, Carlo Rambaldi, Brian Johnson, Nick Allder, and Dennis Ayling. John Hurt was nominated for a BAFTA Film Award® for Best Supporting Actor.

This lot consists of a white painted metal auto doc bone saw with "Auto Doc" in black vinyl, a metal circular blade, and a black rubber hose with a metal air compressor valve connection. This lot exhibits chipped paint and tarnishing to the connection valve. Dimensions: (extended) 34" x 22.5" x 2.5" (86.5 cm x 6.5 cm x 6.5 cm)

Blade was dulled by production.
