A Prototype Sword for the Dormouse (voiced by Barbara Windsor) from Tim Burton's 2010 adaptation of Lewis Carroll's classic story, Alice In Wonderland. Following more closer the story of Alice through the Looking Glass, in this version, nineteen-year-old Alice (Mia Wasikowska) returns to the magical world from her childhood adventure, where she reunites with her old friends and learns of her true destiny: to end the Red Queen's (Helena Bonham Carter) reign of terror. Prototypes like this were made to assist the animators while the worked on the film.
This sword is made from pewter, with a Gothic style hilt embedded with plastic gemstones. The blade is a foil type, with a sharp tip, protected by a small cork. Included with the sword is a black leather protective pouch, which ties at the top.
This item features some signs of wear from production use, including a loose gemstone at the top, but remains in overall excellent condition.
