This is a mechanical torched skeleton torso with axe from the 1989 college thriller After Midnight. The skeleton can be seen towards the end of the film as Allison starts to loose sight of reality and is being chase by the burned corpse of her teacher!

The skeleton is crafted out of resin with areas of foam latex that have been painted to make the remaining areas of "skin" appear charred. Also included with the full torso is a stunt axe. The axe features a foam blade attached to a long wood handle, which has also been painted black.

There are multiple tubes running along the spine of the skeleton, which were used during production to house the puppeteers many pull wires. These wires controlled all of the skeletons movements during filming with just a simple pull. One wire remains connected to the wooden control box and is labeled Jaw. The entire piece comes attached to a ready for display wooden stand and measures approximately 11" x 14" x 33" (28cm x 36cm x 84cm.)
