A Thing hand stand-in from Barry Sonnenfeld's gothic comedy The Addams Family. Thing, a friend and helper to the Addams family for many years, also supported the family.

This stand-in comes from the collection of Doug Beswick, an effects artist well-known for his stop-motion animation and creature effects work. Created for planning shots that incorporated VFX elements, the hand is constructed from latex foam painted pink with a metal base textured to resemble skin. It exhibits cracking along the thumb, chipping paint throughout, and squished foam from being posed in Thing's resting position. Dimensions: 8.5" x 5.5" x 3" (21.75 cm x 14 cm x 7.75 cm)
