Spartan Shield

Stock #102305

”This is where we hold them… this is where we fight!... and this is where THEY DIE!”

A Spartan shield from Zack Snyder’s 2006 fantasy war film 300.

King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) of Sparta and a force of 300 men fight the Persians at Thermopylae in 480 B.C.

This shield and others like it were made for the production to be used earlier on before most of the fighting had occurred. They were then swapped out for the ‘battle damaged’ versions. The shield itself is made of fibreglass and has been painted and textures to look like bronze. It has a metal handle with a leather grip on the back, as well as a leather strap to help the actor hold it.

The piece has some wear from production use and age, including some scratching and scuffing, but it remains in an otherwise excellent condition.

Materials: Fibreglass, Ferrous Metals, Leather, Man-Made Woven Fibres.
