A stunt shotgun used in the production of James Mangold’s Western remake 3:10 To Yuma. Left penniless after his farm is burned to the ground, rancher Dan Evans (Christian Bale) finds opportunity in a chance meeting with outlaw robber Ben Wade (Russell Crowe) – escort the stagecoach robber to the 3:10 train to Yuma, for a reward of $200… if he can survive the journey.
This style of sawn-off Colt 1878 shotgun was one of the film’s signature weapons, wielded by many of Wade’s escort party from Agent Byron McElroy (Peter Fonda) to Dan Evans and even Wade and outlaw Charlie Prince (Ben Foster) through the course of their incredible journey. This particular shotgun used for stunt purposes and scenes where a hero shotgun was not required, and is made of hard rubber with a metal armature within for strength and rigidity.

A high quality casting, the weapon features stampings on the left hand side for gun manufacturer Interarms and intricate trigger, hammer and chamber release detailing. The “metalwork” of the shotgun is finished to replicate the look of blued and bare steel, with a wood grain paint effect used for the wooden stock.

Displaying some minor wear from use, the shotgun remains in overall very good production-used condition.
