A Nerve Gas Canister Cap and Detonator from the Emmy award winning fifth season of the drama series, 24. Nerve gas canisters can be seen throughout the first half of season five as Vladimir Bierko (Julian Sands) and his Russian separatist group, Dawn Brigade, attempt to unleash the deadly gas within a hospital, CTU, and Wilshire Gas Co. This set includes a cap to one of the canisters along with a prop detonator.
The cap is made from resin and painted with a shiny black finish. The top of the cap features eight holes in which hex nuts were glued, however some of the hardware is now missing. Placed in the center of the cap is a biohazard sticker. Also included is a prop detonator which has been cast from hard foam and painted silver to appear metallic. Placed over the surface of the detonator is a large sticker graphic that gives the piece the appearance of holding interior electronics. This unit features numerous colorful wires protruding from a USB connector that has been placed into a hole cut into the front of the facing, giving the illusion of a functioning USB port.
Although this item features minor wear due to production use, including scratches to the facing, it remains in otherwise very good condition.
