A pair of set design artworks of the Leonov printed from original sketches by production designer Albert Brenner, five posters from the promotion of the world premiere, and a crew jacket from the production of Peter Hyams' 2010: The Year We Make Contact. The crew of the Soviet spacecraft Leonov entered the derelict Discovery through the ships' respective airlocks while investigating the events of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey.

This lot originated from a crew member. The artworks are printed with Brenner's signature, the date "83," and the titles "Leonov Ward Room" and "Leonov Airlock," respectively, on glossy black-and-white stock. The posters, which depict the Leonov on its way to the Discovery under the gaze of the Star Child, are printed in full-color on glossy stock and labeled "World Premiere Christmas 1984 from MGM/UA" (though the film was ultimately released on December 7, 1984.) Designed to resemble the cosmonaut suits seen onscreen, the shiny leatherette Crown-brand crew jacket features elasticized cuffs, four American and Soviet patches on the chest and sleeves (including one labeled "Discovery"), and "2010" embroidered on the reverse. The jacket exhibits crinkling and scuffing, while the prints and posters exhibit stains and creasing. Dimensions: (largest) 17" x 18" (43.25 cm x 45.75 cm)
