A production binder from Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. The film garnered numerous awards and Oscar nominations, and ultimately won the Academy Award for Best Special Visual Effects.

Assembled by Kubrick's assistant Ivor Powel, this black vinyl binder features 168 35mm slides showing various scenes of the film including the apes, moon, Monolith, astronauts, Stargate, and spaceships (some of which from shots not included in the final cut of the film), 12 5.75 cm x 5.75 cm (2.25" x 2.25") production slides showing characters, Pan Am hostesses, astronauts, and the Discovery EVA pod. This lot exhibits minor bending to the binder and grime to the slides. Dimensions: 25.5 cm x 29.25 cm x 4 cm (10" x 11.5" x 1.5")
