A scarce lenticular poster for the release of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. It was rare for lenticulars to be produced in the 1960s. MGM and Kubrick wanted to create an advanced advertising campaign that included unique formats, with this lenticular being one of the most impressive pieces. It was produced exclusively for the limited cinemas with Cinerama widescreen format capability. This 10.25" x 13.5" postcard-like example features the Style A design of the "Space-Wheel" imagery created by artist Robert McCall. The lenticular comes presented in its original white-coloured frame and a card standee backing, allowing it to be readily displayed. It remains in near mint condition.
