A light-up replica model of the EVA Pod from Stanley Kubrick's sci-fi epic 2001: A Space Odyssey. EVA pods featured significantly throughout the film, including when Bowman (Keir Dullea) piloted one during his investigation of a monolith, which led to him being pulled into a colourful, coruscating vortex.

This studio-scale EVA pod replica was made in 2015 as part of the promotional campaign for Piers Bizony's book "The Making of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey" and the Stanley Kubrick travelling show, organised by the Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum (DFF) in Frankfurt. Over the last 10 years, this model has also been exhibited in New York, London, Madrid, Istanbul, London, Barcelona, Los Angeles, Paris, and many other cities.

The replica is hand-crafted using various plastics and skilful processes, including turning, milling, CAD, 3D printing, laser cutting, moulding, casting, vacuum forming, spraying, sculpting, and shaping. A button on the right side of the pod's rear activates four lights at the front when four AA batteries are inserted into an internal compartment. Dimensions: 49 cm x 37 cm x 32 cm (19.25" x 14.5" x 12.5")
