A Spiked Cap Helmet from John McTiernan's 1999 adventure epic, the 13th Warrior. In the film, Ahmed Ibn Fahdlan (Banderas) is an Arab ambassador. When he is exiled from his homeland he comes across a band of Norse warriors who he soon discovers he is destined to join.
This helmet was used as a background helmet in the film, it was created with an iron shell that is decorated with a studded resin band around the edge, and a spiked band over the crown. Between these resin bands are ornate pieces of resin fitted with metal studs that decorate the iron. The inside of the helmet is lined with brown leather which drapes over the back of the neck, and is also heavily padded with foam that is hidden by an additional piece of leather.
This helmet features heavy rust on the iron shell, some chipping and worn paint on the resin, and is missing a leather strap, but remains in otherwise good condition. *Please note that the pictured headstand is not included.
