A KPV barrel from Michael Bay’s 2016 history action film 13 Hours.
During an attack on a U.S. compound in Libya, a security team struggles to make sense out of the chaos.
This KPV barrel and others like it were made for the film and can be seen briefly when Tyrone (James Badge Dale) and Jack (John Krasinski) are stopped in the streets of Benghazi by armed militants. KPVs are a Soviet-era heavy machine gun, usually used as an anti-aircraft gun.
This barrel is made of hardened black rubber. It has a nozzle at one end and the other end has exposed resin covered in plaster, which is how it was attached to the rest of the weapon. The piece has some wear from production use, including some scuffing and scratching to the barrel and the plaster has started to crumble away. Overall the piece remains in excellent condition.
Materials: Rubber, Resin, Plaster.
