Chuck has an MBA in Marketing from the University of Maryland and spent over 21 years working as a Management and IT Consultant with Accenture until he joined Propstore as the Vice President of Business Development and Operations and Comic Art Expert in 2018.
Chuck started collecting comic art in the mid-80’s and has played an important role in helping to promote interaction among members of the comic art community. From 2003-2012, Chuck hosted annual “Cherry Blossom Spectacular” events in the Washington DC area to allow comic art collectors a forum to showcase their art and talk with fellow collectors about comic art. He continued the tradition when he moved to Los Angeles in 2013. These local get togethers evolved into the LA Ultimate Comic Art & Collectibles Show that premiered in 2018 which Propstore co-sponsors.
Over the years, Chuck has curated museum exhibits focused on comic art. In 2014, Chuck curated “Raw Fury: The Art of Mike Zeck” exhibit at the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco. In 2015, Chuck curated another show featuring Mike Zeck’s art at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore titled “Dynamic Lines.” Recently, Chuck has been a key lender and contributor to the very popular MARVEL: Universe of Super Heroes exhibit featuring both comic art alongside props/costumes that started its run at the Seattle MoPOP museum in 2018 and will continue on to other cities.
