A lighter used in the production of Tom Harper’s 2015 horror-drama, The Woman In Black 2: Angel Of Death. The sequel takes place forty years on from the original haunting at Eel Marsh House. A group of children are evacuated from World War II London and ultimately awaken the house's dark, ghostly inhabitant.
This lighter would have been used by Harry Burnstow (Jeremy Irvine) to light the candles in the cellar of Eel Marsh House. It would have also been used by Eve Parkin (Phoebe Fox) when she uses its light to read a letter in Harry’s truck. The lighter is ‘Zippo’ branded and is made from gold plated metal. The name ‘Lawrence Smith’ is engraved on the front in capital letters. On either side of the exterior casing are diagonal engraved details. The lighter has functional components including a wick, flint wheel and rivet. It remains in excellent production-used condition and measures 6cm x 4cm x 1.5cm (2.5” x 1.5” x 0.5”).
