Wild Joe (John Pyper-Ferguson) Paint Test and Gloves

Stock #77211

A paint test for Wild Joe (John Pyper-Ferguson) made for the production of David Hayter’s action horror film Wolves. After discovering he is a werewolf, Cayden Richards embarks on a journey that finds him in a town inhabited by a group of lycans.

This unfinished paint test was created early in production as a concept for how Wild Joe may appear in his werewolf form. Differing from the final design, this piece shows a version of Wild Joe which lack hair. The piece is made up of appliances applied to a polyfoam bust which has been painted with detail. The face is detailed with foam latex appliances and is also painted with detail. Scars are applied throughout the bust, giving the character a villainous appearance. The head also features a green acrylic eye which is paired with a white blind eye.

The gloves are also made from foam latex. Each glove is labeled internally with 'Wild Joe Stunt #1.' The outside of the gloves feature hand-punched hair, a detailed paint job, and each finger has a claw produced from urethane.

The foam latex shows some signs of wear from production use but this set remains in overall excellent condition.
