A script for Bruce Robinson’s classic 1987 British comedy Withnail & I.
In 1969, two unemployed actors (Richard E. Grant and Paul McGann) with serious substance abuse issues go on a countryside retreat that quickly goes downhill.
This rare production-used script is a collector’s piece of truly iconic British cinema. Written by Robinson, it features a black cover with a window displaying the title of the film on the page underneath. It is comprised of 147 A4-sized white pages including the title page and is bound with two metal butterfly fasteners. The script is unannotated inside but has ‘Withnail and I’ handwritten in red marker pen down the spine. It remains in excellent condition.
