Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Banned Penthouse Magazine - Jessica Rabbit

Stock #79403

"I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way."

A French edition of the April 1989 Penthouse Magazine that was banned for featuring a topless Jessica Rabbit on the cover.

Building on the sexualised nature of the 1988 Who Framed Roger Rabbit? character, the magazine ran a 10-page Jessica Rabbit spread featuring topless and nude (though discreetly posed) art images of her alongside film scenes – and a characteristically lovestruck Roger Rabbit.

The remainder of the issue features Penthouse’s expected explicit adult content. Disney issued a cease-and-desist order when the magazine was published, but the issue sold out before it became effective.

There is some very light cover wear along the spine, but the piece remains in excellent condition.

Materials: Paper, Card.
