A ‘final draft’ script of John Badham’s 1983 sci-fi thriller WarGames.
David (Matthew Broderick) is a young hacker who finds a back door into a military central computer and confuses it with a game, potentially starting World War III.
This script was written by Lawrence Lasker, Walter F. Parkes and Walon Green and is a ‘final draft’ revised on ‘1/6/82. It is 133 pages long including the title page and is bound between a black card cover by two brass butterfly fasteners. A handwritten ‘97’ is in the top right corner of the title page but the script remains otherwise unannotated.
It has some wear from production use, age and storage, including scuffing and creasing. There are some small rips to the cover and the covers have become discoloured. Water damage to the back cover has caused black ink to bleed onto some of the pages. Considering the age of the script it remains in a good condition.
Materials: Paper, Ferrous Metals, Card.
