Virgin Queen, The (1955)
Sir Walter Raleigh's (Richard Todd) Tunic
Stock #130758
Sir Walter Raleigh’s (Richard Todd) tunic from Henry Koster’s 1955 historical drama The Virgin Queen.
Raleigh wore his tunic when talking to Queen Elizabeth I (Bette Davis) while she was in bed. The woollen tunic is predominantly red with puffed arms. It does up with metal eye and hook fasteners down the front and features a label from ‘Western Costume Co.’ inside featuring Todd’s name.
The tunic has some wear from production use, age and storage, including some minor staining and some small tears in the lining. However, considering the age of the tunic it remains in an excellent condition.
Materials: Man-Made Woven Fibres, Ferrous Metals.
