Destroyed Naval Officer's Uniform

Stock #22298

“We have to show the world that not all of us are like him. Otherwise, this will always be Hitler’s Germany.”

A destroyed Naval Officer’s jacket and trousers used in Bryan Singer’s 2008 WWII thriller Valkyrie.

Several officers in the German Army are opposed to the methods and ideology that Hitler has taken and feel it is incumbent on them to put an end to his reign of terror. Led by Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg (Tom Cruise), they devise a plan to assassinate Hitler, assume control of the military and government, and negotiate a truce with the Allies to spare Germany from utter destruction.

The Officer’s uniform was used in the dramatic scenes inside the war room location, when the bomb is successfully detonated, and carnage unfolds. The uniform is navy blue with one narrow and one wide gold band around each sleeve below a gold star patch. A golden Panzer emblem can be seen on the right breast. Featuring brass buttons highlighting the anchor and rope emblem for the character’s nautical profession. Finally, a black and white ribbon threaded through the top buttonhole. The trousers are a matching blue, and both are in excellent intentionally production distressed condition with various rips and shrapnel damage from the explosion.

Materials: Wool, Cotton, Man-Made Woven Fibres, Ferrous Metals.
