Valachi Papers, The

Clapperboard

Stock #111018

A clapperboard from the production of Terence Young's crime drama The Valachi Papers. In the film, an imprisoned gangster is forced to become an informant for federal agents in exchange for protection from a mob boss.

The clapperboard is made of wood with a metal hinge and clapperstick affixed to the top. The board features the names of the film's director and cameraman Aldo Tonti as well as the film's title painted on it. Also painted onto the board are spaces to note for sequence, scene and date. The clapperboard shows signs of chipping and residual signs of chalk from production use and age, but it remains in good overall condition.
