Tudors, The

Henry VIII’s (John Rhys Meyers) Walking Cane

Stock #55392

A cane used in the production of the hit TV series The Tudors. Surrounded by enemies abroad and within his own court, the series chronicles the life and lust of King Henry VIII (John Rhys Meyers) as he struggles to suppress his desires for conquest, both on the fields of battle and in the marriage bed.

This cane was used by the King of England as his health begins to fail, suffering from ulcers that made it difficult for him to walk. Made of wood and metal with the cane’s head shaped like that of a duck, the foot of the cane features a polished metal band. Leather laces at the head are braided and end in metal caps shaped like bells and finished in gold, while an embroidered band of material is wrapped beneath the duck’s head.

Well used on the production, the cane features some wear from use including marks along the cane’s length. In spite of this, however, the cane remains in an overall good production-used condition.
