Hand-drawn Mariano Diaz sketches of three concept regal helmet designs from the production of Wolfgang Petersen's 2004 mythical epic Troy. The ancient kingdoms of Troy and Sparta did battle to control the Aegean Sea. The film depicts several kings, including King Menelaus (Brendan Gleeson), King Priam (Peter O’Toole) and King Agamemnon (Brian Cox).

The film’s costumes were designed by Academy Award®-nominated costume designer Bob Ringwood. Labelled “59”, the three sketches of regal helmets from various angles are rendered by Diaz in graphite on a single sheet of paper. Each concept design is highly ornate and features embellishments such as aventails, tassels, horn-like protrusions and domed crowns. One helmet design exhibits a bejewelled band.

The artwork is in excellent condition.
