A severed Trojan head from Wolfgang Petersen’s 2004 adaptation of Homer’s great epic Troy.
After falling for the beautiful Helen (Diane Kruger), Trojan prince Paris (Orlando Bloom) smuggles her aboard the ship of his brother, Hector (Eric Bana) to take her to Troy. Seeking revenge, the Greek armies led by Agamemnon (Brian Cox) and the legendary warrior Achilles (Brad Pitt) set sail for Troy, where one of history’s greatest wars will be waged.
This head and others like it were made for the production and, although not obviously seen on screen, would have been used in the first big battle, as the Greek army led by Achilles takes the beach of Troy. The head is made of foam and rubber and features a large gory gash down the left side of the face. The helmet is rubber and has a large hole in the right side of the head.
The head has additional wear from production use, besides the obvious intentional damage. A small hole has been drilled into the forehead and there are black paint markings around the forehead. There are additional scuffs and scratches but overall the piece remains in an excellent production-used condition.
Materials: Rubber, Foam.
