A Myrmidon Soldier's Helmet worn in Wolfgang Petersen's 2003 historical epic, Troy. Helmets such as this one can be seen throughout the film as the Greeks battle the Trojans at Troy. The helmet is made of hard rubber and is painted black. The unmistakably recognizable design, which was designed for maximum protection for it's wearer, features a nose piece that extends down the nose, as well as face guards over the left and right cheeks. Rounding out this fearsome helmet is the signature brush on the top of the helmet which is also made of hard rubber.
Inside the helmet are remnants of foam padding, which provided comfort to the wearer during filming. Although this piece has been carefully restored, the rubber face guards have warped out of their original position. This helmet measures approximately 13" x 15" x 7" (33cm x 38cm x 18cm) and is remains in fair condition.
