A hand-drawn Mariano Diaz Trojan warrior sketch from the production of Wolfgang Petersen's 2004 mythical epic Troy. The ancient kingdoms of Troy and Sparta did battle to control the Aegean Sea.

The costume was designed by Academy Award®-nominated costume designer Bob Ringwood and rendered by Diaz in graphite on paper. Labelled "54", this sketch shows a front view of a Trojan soldier holding his sword and his spear - his right arm depicted both bent and extended - with a shield in the background. The soldier displays distinctive armour, including a plumed helmet, vambraces, greaves and a chest-plate. The artwork is in excellent overall condition.
