A hand-drawn Mariano Diaz helmet sketch from the production of Wolfgang Petersen's 2004 mythical epic Troy. Achilles (Brad Pitt) and his Myrmidon army supported the army of Agamemnon (Brian Cox) as the ancient kingdoms of Troy and Sparta battled to control the Aegean Sea,

The costume was designed by Academy Award®-nominated costume designer Bob Ringwood and rendered by Diaz in graphite on paper. Labelled “36”, this sketch shows a side view of Achilles’ helmet. The helmet is depicted in a Chalcidian style with pointed cheek pieces, a nose-guard and a neck guard. At the top of the helmet is a long feathered plume, befitting its wearer’s high status. Achilles is depicted wearing a bracer and carrying a sword. Diaz’s autograph is hand-signed in pencil at the bottom of the illustration.

The page is cut slightly unevenly but the artwork is in excellent condition.
