A hand-drawn Mariano Diaz Achilles (Brad Pitt) alternate armour design from the production of Wolfgang Petersen’s 2004 historical war epic Troy.

The costumes in Troy were designed by Academy Award and Oscar-nominated costume designer Bob Ringwood and rendered by concept artist Mariano Diaz in graphite. Labelled ‘27’, this armour design concept has been hand-drawn on thin A1 layout paper and shows Achilles holding a spear and wearing a pleated tunic with armour. The illustration features Diaz’s autograph, hand-signed in pencil at the bottom of the sheet. This costume concept differs from the final design seen on screen.

The drawing exhibits minor creasing and fold lines from handling but otherwise remains in excellent overall condition.
