A bow from the 2004 adaptation of Homer’s climactic epic, Troy. After falling for the beautiful Helen (Diane Kruger), Trojan prince Paris (Orlando Bloom) smuggles her aboard the ship of his brother, Hector (Eric Bana) to take her to Troy. Seeking revenge, the Greek armies led by Agamemnon (Brian Cox) and the legendary warrior Achilles (Brad Pitt) set sail for Troy, where one of history’s greatest wars will be waged.

This bow and others like it can be seen in the battle scenes throughout the film when the Greeks battle the undefeated Trojans. Made from wood, this bow is curved in shape and features twine wrapped around the middle. Black paint has been applied to the middle and ends of the bow adding ‘intentional distressing’ and a piece of woven string acting as the bow string is tied to both ends. The string has blue twine wrapped around the middle acting as a grip.

The bow features intentional distressing and pieces of the twine on the middle section of the bow are beginning to become undone. The piece remains in very good production-used condition.
