”Iceberg ahead!”

A set of faux brass plaques from the production of James Cameron’s 1997 historical disaster movie Titanic, which was once the highest-grossing film of all time.

The ‘unsinkable’ Titanic sets off for its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York and two people from distinctly different backgrounds (Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet) meet onboard. They start to fall in love, but disaster is inevitable.

These ‘brass’ plaques were made for production and used as spares. Plaques like these can be seen in the background on the ship’s bridge and would have been stuck up around the ship to label areas and machinery. The plaques are made of plastic styled to look like brass, with bold black lettering. They have some wear from storage, including some scuffs and scratches, but remain in otherwise good condition.

Materials: Plastic.
