These particular crane controls were seen as part of the junkyard set when Alan, Fermet and Tintin collect components to build a hoverbike, used to tow each other around Tracy island as they attempt to escape Mullion (Deobia Oparei). The main body of the prop is made from fibreglass and resin, with pieces of wood placed within to support the structure and a metal base with holes where the piece would have been attached to the set. Finished in yellow, these controls also feature two folding ‘arms’, one on each side of the main control panel, with both featuring one blue and one red circular button. The control panel has various sections including line status, platform status, line activation, rescue control etc, and has small console panel which would have displayed video graphics. Some of the sections on the dashboard feature several coloured buttons, that would have illuminated and feature printed letters, numbers and control words.
The piece has been intentionally distressed to give it a dirty look to fit in with the junkyard setting and has minor signs of wear from time spent in storage. The console panel features minor marks and the dashboard is missing a circular shaped section on the bottom right corner. The crane controls remain in good production-used condition. The electronics on this particular piece remain untested.
