The Terminator’s (Arnold Schwarzenegger) unstable fuel cell from the third Terminator film, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.
Fleeing from his destiny after the death of his mother, a fully grown John Connor (Nick Stahl) lives off the grid in modern day Los Angeles. Judgment Day has been and gone, but the arrival of another pair of Terminators says only one thing - some events cannot by prevented, only postponed.
While driving the damaged vet’s truck with John and Kate Brewster (Claire Danes) on board, the Terminator cut open his abdomen and removed faulty power packs damaged in the first conflict with the T-X (Kristanna Loken). One cell was flung out of the window and caused a huge explosion. These items were featured in several close-up shots during the sequence. Later the Resistance used power cells strapped together to destroy Skynet.
Made from moulded plastic, the rectangular power pack features realistic chrome treatment and intricate computer-like details to create its symmetrical, futuristic look. A clear acrylic central compartment houses a plastic block decorated to resemble a circuit board. Electrical wires trail from the back of the device, where it would be connected to a power supply to illuminate for the scene. The piece powers up with a 9V battery.
Exhibiting intentional distressing, glue residue and production-based wear the power pack remains in very good overall condition – a unique item for Terminator collectors.
