A set of original sketches and production-made copies of design for a flying rig from Richard Donner’s 1978 superhero film Superman.
The four pages with the design for the 'Metropolis Storyboards' are drawn in pen by Paul Weston and were instrumental in creating some of the flying scenes used in the film. The other two pages are production made copies of the design.
This set comes from the personal collection of Paul Weston, a stunt man and stunt coordinator in the first two Superman films as well as many other classic movies. Paul Weston was instrumental in designing and creating some of the revolutionary techniques and rigs for the legendary flying and acrobatic scenes for these Superman films. They have some creasing from age and production use, as well as some minor staining, but otherwise remain in an excellent condition.
