A Perry White letter from the production of Richard Donner’s 1978 action adventure film Superman.
An alien orphan is sent from his dying planet to Earth, where he grows up to become his adoptive home's first and greatest superhero.
This letter and others like it were made for the production to serve as set decoration in the offices of The Daily Planet. Although not obviously seen on screen, the letter is to a ‘Mrs. Rita Cunningham’ from the editor Perry White (Jackie Cooper). The letter is responding to a complaint from Mrs. Cunningham about one of their articles.
The letter is printed onto white paper and appears as if typed. It has very little wear from production use and remains in an excellent condition.
