A Marine Interceptor shovel from the production of Edward Neumeier’s 2008 sci-fi action film Starship Troopers 3: Marauder.

Legendary soldier Johnny Rico (Casper Van Dien) is called back into action to defeat the bugs.

This shovel and others like it were made for the production and they can be seen at the beginning of the film as the ‘newest weapon’ in the fight against the bugs. Marines use them to dig trenches and one impales a Marine after an explosion. The shovel features a sturdy gray metal design as well as numerous ‘teeth’ around the tip of the blade for a futuristic design. The blade has the Federation logo of an eagle with outstretched wings as well as a serial number (006667) printed in the upper corner.

There is some wear from production use, including scuffing and scratches, but overall it remains in an excellent condition.
