A piece of the Death Star model used in Richard Marquand's 1983 space fantasy sequel Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.
This is one of the smaller pieces created by ILM modelmakers for use in creating the large filming miniature of the Death Star surface. Many interlocking abstract pieces were made, this particular piece being formed using biscuit foam construction and painted and detailed to the high ILM standard.
This item from the Star Wars universe comes custom-framed with a laser-cut mount board featuring the film's title artwork and two stills. The front panel of the display can open, allowing direct access to the piece.
