Star Wars - Ep VI - Return Of The Jedi

Framed Japanese Opening Crawl Sheet

Stock #34749

A framed Japanese opening crawl sheet used during the production of Richard Marquand's 1983 science fiction sequel, Star Wars: VI - Return of the Jedi. This is a printed production-used version of the text seen during the opening of the film. The printed version of the crawl was created to be reviewed by the film's producers and director, including George Lucas. After the crawl was translated to various foreign languages, the production staff reviewed each version individually to verify they were happy with the appearance of it.

This version of the crawl was created by taking photo copies off of the camera-ready acetate sheet that would actually be filmed for the crawl. The copied pages were taped together, and the language was noted by hand in the upper right hand corner of the document. This unique piece played a specific role in the production of the film.

This original document comes presented in a custom built wooden display frame and is backed by a laser cut mount board featuring the film's title, and is in very good condition.
