Star Wars - Ep V - The Empire Strikes Back

Robert Watts & Brian Johnson-Signed Storyboard - Luke Climbs Cable

Stock #90481

"That armour's too strong for blasters!"

A signed production storyboard from Irwin Kershner's 1980 classic, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. After the original storyboard was approved, copies were made and distributed to the various department heads during pre-production.

The production used copy has printed illustrations of two shots. The left one is of a Guntower exploding next to a trench of Rebel soldiers, with the description "S.117 L.S. A Guntower explodes. The generators are closer in the B.G." written underneath. The right illustration is of Luke climbing the cable underneath the AT-AT Walker, with the description "MED. CU of Luke climbing the cable to the underbelly of the walker going R to L. Two rebel speeders pass in the BG. Flak bursts in the distance."

The pictures are printed on white paper, which has been cut into the smaller sections you now see. This storyboard is signed by special visual effects artist Brian Johnson and associate producer Robert Watts.

These are original production storyboards, so the scenes depicted appear slightly differently in the final cut of the movie.

The storyboard comes beautifully presented in a custom built frame with laser-cut mount board featuring the classic movie title. The display is in excellent condition.

Materials: Wood, Acrylic, Paper, Card, Ferrous Metals.
