Star Wars - Ep V - The Empire Strikes Back

Original Production Storyboard - Boba Fett's Ship Follows Falcon

Stock #88851

”If I may say so, sir, I noticed earlier the hyperdrive motivator has been damaged. It's impossible to go to lightspeed!”

A production-used Boba Fett storyboard copy from Irvin Kershner's 1980 sci-fi classic, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. After the original storyboard was approved, copies were made and distributed to the various department heads during pre-production.

This storyboard depicts the memorable scene in which the Millennium Falcon slipped away unnoticed in a stream of garbage behind an Imperial Star Destroyer – save for the attention of bounty hunter Boba Fett (Jeremy Bullock), who discreetly tailed the escaping spaceship in his distinctive craft.

The storyboard features a printed description beneath the illustration – ‘Ext. Millennium Falcon – Junk – Boba Fett Ship – Space’ – with additional scene and camera directions. It is marked as ‘Page 5’, ‘Shot No. 339’ and frame ‘3 of 4’ in the sequence.

Printed on orange US Legal-sized paper and hole-punched at the top, the storyboard would have been held together in sequence with the rest of the storyboard pages. It comes beautifully presented in a custom built frame with laser-cut mount board featuring the classic movie title. The display is in excellent condition.

Materials: Wood, Acrylic, Paper, Card, Ferrous Metals.
