Star Wars - Ep IV - A New Hope

"The Star Wars" Framed Signed Printed Production Storyboard - Board 188

Stock #58020

A signed production storyboard from George Lucas' 1977 sci-fi classic, Star Wars! This framed original production copy was drawn by visual effects art director Joe Johnston in 1975 when the film was originally known as "The Star Wars", and was then distributed to the various department heads during pre-production. This storyboard shows a an early design of a Y-Wing pilot in his cockpit as his ship explodes, and includes an early version of the helmet design. The storyboard is noted "Board 188," "low alt D.S. Surf," and features a short description of the action beneath the drawing. Printed on a specialty copy machine for deep blacks and bright whites, this storyboard exhibits premium quality image quality. As a result, subsequent board imagery did not match the quality of these extremely early boards. The storyboard has been signed in person by the original artist Joe Johnston.

The storyboard comes beautifully presented in a custom built frame with laser-cut mount board featuring the classic movie title. The display is in excellent condition.
